Question 1

What does KAGE do?

Accepted Answer

KAGE makes narrative branded films for companies with a real point of view and something meaningful to share. We find the story inside the work, make the film, and build the launch materials that come from it.

Question 2

Who is KAGE for?

Accepted Answer

KAGE works with independent consumer brands and companies that are tired of looking and sounding like everyone else. The fit is strongest when the product is strong, the market is crowded, and an important launch, collaboration, expansion, or repositioning is ahead.

Question 3

What does a KAGE project include?

Accepted Answer

Projects begin with a close look at the business, the audience, the category, and the moment ahead. From there, KAGE develops one creative direction, produces the signature film, and creates a defined set of supporting assets such as cutdowns, stills, captions, and launch language.

Question 4

Does KAGE take one-off projects?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A defined film project is the usual starting point. If the work is right and the relationship makes sense, KAGE may continue supporting the brand after the first film.

Question 5

What does a project cost?

Accepted Answer

Signature film engagements are generally scoped between $15,000 and $30,000 based on the story, production needs, and intended use, with most projects starting at $15,000. Tell us what is coming up and we will outline a realistic range.

Question 6

What is the typical turnaround?

Accepted Answer

A contained film project usually needs six to eight weeks from discovery to delivery. Projects involving more locations, talent, licensing, or launch applications should begin 10 to 16 weeks before the public moment.

Question 7

Does KAGE work with agencies?

Accepted Answer

Yes, selectively. KAGE works with agencies and brand partners when the role, credit, rights, and creative direction are clear from the beginning.

Question 8

Is KAGE remote or in person?

Accepted Answer

KAGE is based in San Diego and works with brands across the United States. Discovery and creative development can happen remotely. Production happens where the story requires it.

KAGE is a narrative branded film studio.
